Welcome to Thursday night St. Albert FunTeam soccer!
We will be playing Thursday night’s from 630-730pm at Langley Field (Ronald Harvey School). The season will consist of 8 nights from May 9th to June 27th. There will be a $55 registration fee for each child you wish to participate. To confirm your child's/children's spot(s) we must receive your registration fee.
We will have an in person registration night on April 9th from 6:30 pm - 8 pm at Ecole Alexandre Tache School (Erin Ridge Dr, St. Albert, AB T8N 5S5) That evening we will be collecting registration fees and a $25 volunteer deposit per family (paid in cash). On registration night you will receive an information sheet which will include your child’s group number and your volunteer requirement for the season. This year your child will receive a jersey and a ball that you will use for the season and yours to keep after. It is your responsibility to bring the ball to the field and should be labelled with your child’s name to ensure you leave with the correct ball.
Every night will be structured with a warm up (fun games, stretches, etc) for 10 to 15 minutes, drills or practicing skills for 15 to 20 minutes, and ending with dividing your team in two and playing a game for the remaining half of the evening. We will provide the coaches with an information package with ideas for games and drills that they can use for their team. Really it is just important to have a positive role model out there each week to support and encourage the kids to try their best and most importantly to HAVE FUN!! If you are interested in being a coach please let us know as soon as possible. All coaches will be exempt from the $25 volunteer deposit.

the registration process.

Registration fee is $55 per child which includes,
Jersey, soccer fees, memberships fees and end of season jamboree celebration for the kids.

For the volunteer requirement you will be asked to either gather and help set up or take down and return nets for ONE GAME only. They are pop up nets so it is fairly straightforward. The other task would be to help your volunteer coach for ONE GAME only. This may be to help facilitate a warm up game, help the kids stay on track doing drills, getting and returning pinnies needed, helping the kids sub in and out of the game, standing on the sidelines or behind the nets to help keep the ball in and to keep the game contained to their game area. This can be especially important for the younger kids as it is harder for them to stay within the field as there are no lines. If you wish to opt out of volunteering you can pay the $25 up front. For the volunteers who completed there two assigned tasks the cash deposit will be returned to you.
If you are interested in being a coach please let us know as soon as possible. All coaches will be exempt from the $25 volunteer deposit. On April 23rd we will also be having a coaches night at Ecole Alexandre Tache School from 6:30 pm - 8pm.
