FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!
Welcome to Fort Assiniboine Fun Team Hockey!!! We are very excited to be holding another season of fun hockey for our wonderful little community! We have an awesome group of volunteers that strive to help our kids with their skills, skating, respect and responsibilities. Our volunteer coaches love these kids like they were their own, in fact each of our coaches all have children on our hockey teams! They will help them build confidence in their skills, learn how to work as a team player and build their love for the game!
We aim to hold 2 practices per week, Tuesdays and Thursdays...times will be determined once we figure out how many teams and what age groups will be joining us this year. We try to have 1 home game and 1 away game each month per team...
We will be holding a couple tournaments this year as well so we will need all hands on deck!
Fees will be discussed once we have an approximate of kids joining!
What to Bring
Standard Equipment that is required for ALL players is as follows:
-Hockey Stick
-Padded Hockey Gloves
-Helmet with Cage (HECC Certified, not expired)
-Neck Guard
-Chest and Shoulder Pads
-Elbow pads
-Athletic Jock (boys) Jil (girls)
-Hockey Pants
-Shin Guards
-Hockey Socks
-Hockey Skates
-Jersey of their choice for Practices (We provide the jerseys for game days)
Fees
Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.
This year as with many years we will be including the $10 FunTeam membership fee in your registration!!!!
Please submit all of your fees in full to our Treasurer or President in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process. All fees must be paid in full before first practice...... if you have not paid in full prior to first practice your child will be held off the ice.
