FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented sport at a low cost, to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourages any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!
Our group is a small local organization that focuses on getting kids active and having fun. The kids build on, and learn new skating and hockey skills during our weekly ice slots.
Our groups play twice a week, once during the week and once on the weekend. The ice slots are 1 - 1 1/2 hour long, with 1/2 of the ice slot focusing on skill development and the other 1/2 being an internal scrimmage.
Our groups are divided by age and skill level, so while we use age as the initial way to divide up the participants, we do arrange our groups based on skill levels so that everyone has an enjoyable time.
The levels are as follows:
- Tier 1 (age 4-7)
- Tier 2 (age 7-10)
- Tier 3 (age 10-12)
- Tier 4 (ages12-14)
- Tier 5 (age 15+)
Ice Times are as follows:
Sundays @
- Tier 1 - 12:30-1:30 p.m.
- Tier 2 - 1:45-3:15 p.m.
- Tier 3 - 3:30-5:00 p.m.
- Tier 4 - 5:15-6:45 p.m.
- Tier 5 - 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Optional practice for Tier 2 and 3: Tuesdays @ 6:45-7:45 p.m.

Volunteering
FunTeam volunteers are our most valuable resource. We can’t thank you enough for your commitment to our programming and bringing our model of sport to your community.
We will be needing volunteers in each of our age groups this season. The more volunteers we have available the smoother the season goes. There are varying amounts of time you would need to put in as a volunteer, but having people ready and willing to help is always welcome.
We require:
- Head Coaches
- Assistant Coaches
- Team Managers
- Referee Manager
- Tournament Committee
If you are willing to volunteer as a coach or have any questions regarding coaching, please contact: Andrew Harms @ 403-816-6240 We would like to have all of our coaches in place by September 15th.
If you have any other questions regarding volunteering please contact: Holly Stair @ 403-507-9536
Each volunteer will be required to complete a Fun Team Alberta Volunteer Form, submit a current Criminal Records Check (CRC) and complete the Fun Team Alberta Informed Consent Form before the start of the season.
In order to keep the cost low for every family we plan to host a fundraising tournament in the new year! Every family involved with a Cremona Fun Team will be required to volunteer during the event. This is our only fundraiser in the year and we will be depending on each of you to make it a success! We will also be looking for a committee to help with the planning and leadership of the tournament, so please keep that in mind and consider whether you might be able to step in and help in that way.
Our volunteers are what make this program a success, so we are always thankful for the time each of you are willing to contribute!
