Stettler Fun Hockey

Description

FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!

We are a group of hockey families that push fun over winning. Any skill level is encouraged to join and have some fun with us.

We actively participate with other FunTeam groups throughout central Alberta maintaining a minimum of one ice time per week.

We are currently accepting registrations for ages:

  • 7-10 age group.
  • 11-14 age group
  • 15-18 age group

Each group will have 1 practice per week and try to play 1 game per week, either at home or away. Away games are typically within a 1 hour drive.  Game jersey is provided by your team.

 

 

What to Bring

Full dress hockey equipment is required including the following:

  • Hockey Stick
  • Hockey gloves
  • Hockey helmet with cage (HECC certified and not expired)
  • neck guard
  • shoulder and chest pads
  • Elbow pads
  • Athletic Jock (boys) or Jill (girls)
  • Hockey pants
  • Shin guards
  • hockey socks
  • skates

Fees

Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.

2022/23 season fees are $300/year for all age groups. Payment plans are available as is Kidsport funding.

Volunteering

FunTeam volunteers are our most valuable resource. We can’t thank you enough for your commitment to our programming and bringing our model of sport to your community.

The fun Team cannot operate without volunteers and help is needed both on and off the ice. 

  1. We need coaches! Head Coaches and assistant coaches.

  6. Members for the Tournament Committee
  7. Dressing room/On ice volunteers.
