Description
FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!
The Sundre Skating Club is a not-for-profit organization that aims to share the love of skating with our community. Partnered with Fun Team Alberta, we offer a Learn to Skate program. Our LTS program aims to introduce kids to skating in a fun, non-competitive environment with the hopes of encouraging kids to stay involved in skating for their lifetime whether through figure skating, hockey, ringette or recreational skating. Our coaches are trained within the Skate Canada framework therefore they focus on skill development in a fun, supportive environment.

Volunteering
FunTeam volunteers are our most valuable resource. We can’t thank you enough for your commitment to our programming and bringing our model of sport to your community.
Currently, the Sundre Skating Club does not ask for a volunteer bond nor a minimum fundraising commitment. We do however ask all families to remember that volunteers are who keep this club alive and well and this activity available for all our kids to try.
The Sundre Skating Club board oversees both the Learn to Skate program as well as the Star Skate program which is a member of Skate Canada-AB/NWT. The board is always looking for member to join the board as well as volunteers to assist with special projects.
A Learn to Skate Representative was added to the board to better facilitate communication between the board, coaches and Learn to Skate families.
