FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!
Drumheller FunTeam Hockey Club will celebrate our 30th Anniversary (EST. Oct. 1994) in our 2023- 2024 season!
This is a Co-Ed Recreational Non-Contact Hockey Program for ages 5 years to adult, consisting of 5 categories (Rookie, Junior, Varsity, Intermediate & Senior) not necessarily based on age but rather skill level.
It is a low cost registration hockey program that requires each family to take part in the Drumheller FunTeam Annual Gift Card Fundraiser which is used to subsidize the full cost of the season.
Drumheller FunTeam promotes the following including the FunTeam Alberta Principles of Sport:

- Skill development including physical, emotional & social development of youth through informal fun & sport
- Citizenship & community involvement
- Having FUN playing sport
- It does so in a Safe & Healthy Environment allowing each participant equal opportunity to strive for success
Registration Night is Wednesday, September 13 from 4 - 7pm @ the Drumheller Rec, Arts & Wellness Expo held at the Badlands Community Facility.
Cost: Ice Fees $75 + FT Alberta Membership $10 + Jersey (your's to keep) $15 = $100
Additional Optional Costs:
Jersey Name $10 + Jersey #(any # you like) $10 = $20
For Juniors & Varsity Ages: Conditioning Camps** (Sept 24 @ $10 + Oct 1 @ $10 ) = $20
** Must sign up & prepay by Friday, September 15** Limited to the FIRST 22 players to sign up for each category***

3. Helmet with Mask - Personalized with First NAME (on tape Front of Helmet for all Rookies)
4. Neck Guard (bib style preferred for all Juniors & Up)
5. Shoulder Pads
6. Elbow Pads
7. Hockey Gloves
8. Hockey Stick - Personalized with Initials or NAME
9. Jockey or Jill Shorts
10. Hockey Pants
11. Hockey Socks
12. Shin Pads

Fees
Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.

Volunteering
FunTeam volunteers are our most valuable resource. We can’t thank you enough for your commitment to our programming and bringing our model of sport to your community.
Anyone interested in helping with Coaching will require a current Criminal Record Check including the Vulnerable Sector so we can ensure our volunteers are qualified to work with our under age participants. Please contact Nicky @ 403-820-0162 to sign up & to receive a letter to waive the cost for application for this check.
Parent Meeting will be held for each Category on the First Day of Hockey (Oct. 15) regarding season events & volunteers needed.
