FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!

Lesson's @ Thorhild Agriplex 

Level 1/2 Skating: Teaches the foundations for skating. Builds on skating skills as child gains confidence on the ice.

Power Skating 1/2 Strengthens skating to increase agility and speed while improving hockey skills

Power Skating 3: For competitive skaters focus is placed on edge quality and control, body alignment and balance. A variety of stopping, starting, turning techniques and drills will challenge the skaters. Skaters will increase tempo during the exercises. This class will solidify power level 1/2 as well as introduce more advanced skating techniques.

After Fall and Winter Sessions Thorhild Skating Club hosts a wind-up party. 

$100/ session Level 1, Level 2, Power Skating 1, Power Skating 2 (30min sessions)

$125/ Session for Power Skating 3 (45min sessions) 

Session 1 (Fall): October 11th - December 13th 2023

Session 2 (Winter): January 10th - March 13th 2024

What to Bring

CSA- approved helmet, skates, pants, mittens, warm sweater or jacket

Fees

Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.

Fees cover ice time, coaching, participant insurance and wind-up party. 

Fees are due first practice. We accept cash, cheque or e-transfer for payment to thorhildskatingclub@gmail.com

(Practice times may be adjusted by 15min depending on registration numbers) Registration fee is $100/session. First practice of each session will be an evaluation to ensure that your child is in the appropriate level to maximize their development, while ensuring fun.
