FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!
Elevate Community Foundation is a proud member of FunTeam Alberta, which promotes family orientated, low cost, less competitive sports, to provide FUN activities for all participants, volunteers and families. At Elevate we like to emphasize on sportsmanship, team work and skill development, while providing a safe and FUN environment for players to progress at their own pace without the worries of not getting play time. The coaches work with players to build their confidence, while supporting team inclusion and making sure everyone has an equal opportunity.
Elevate's Mini-Spikers and Smashball program is a volunteer run program run in New Norway with High School students volunteering to participate in the Young Leader's Program through FunTeam as our head coaches. All HS coaches will be supervised and assisted throughout the season. Please remember that they are volunteering and excited to make this an option for your kids. They would love to hear your positive feedback!

Mini-Spikers - Grades 4-6
Mini -Spikers will take place every Monday afternoon from 3:15-4:30. The kids will work on skill development including passing, setting, hitting and serving. The participants will be grouped based on age and skill. All practices/fun games will be played on modified net height and smaller courts so that each child is getting maximum time to touch the ball and gain confidence while having FUN. No prior experience necessary.
Smashball - Grades 1-3
Smashball is a program endorsed by Volleyball Canada to introduce volleyball to younger ages in a non-intimidating environment. Smashball is a progressive program that promotes skill development in passing, setting, hitting and serving in an age-appropriate and FUN program. The participants will be grouped based on age and skill. All practices/fun games will be played on modified net height and smaller courts so that each child is getting maximum time to touch the ball and gain confidence while having FUN. No prior experience necessary.

Fees
Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.
FunTeam charges a $10 annual membership fee for each participant to cover the costs of insurance and other fees to run their organization. Elevate Community Foundation will be covering this fee for all families registered in their programs.

Coach - High School Students for the Young Leaders Program
We are always looking for amazing High School students that want to be a part of FunTeam's Young Leaders Program! Let us know if this is something you would like to be a part of!
We will offer a lot of support and a fun environment, you will not be left to do this on your own!
Coach Supervisor
We are always looking for amazing coach supervisors that are available to show up weekly/bi-weekly to supervise the session while our high school coaches lead.
This role is very flexible and requires someone who is willing to offer support to our coaches and bring a FUN attitude!
