FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!

Welcome to Thorhild Fun Hockey!

Fun team Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by all participants.

We welcome players from 5-17 years old, with Non-Contact Hockey, with no experience to experienced, as well as volunteers. We will focus on developing their individual skills, as well as their skills within their team. Coaches will work together to determine if a child will have to be moved into another group as per their skill level/age. All players MUST register to appropriate age group first before any move will be granted. Safety is top priority! 

• Beginners Ages 5 to 8
• Intermediate Ages 9-13 
• Seniors Ages 14-17

There will be 1 practice a week (Friday evening) and 1 game on Saturday, times will vary. Possibility of a Sunday game if no ice is available. There will be NO practices or games on Holidays. All players are expected to attend games and utilise the tool TeamLinkt app for communication. 

We welcome all Coaches/Team Managers who have completed a Vulnerable Sector check. (Unless full). Checks are required once every 3 years and must be provided to the Registrar one week prior to the first practice. If a check is expired or not handed in you will NOT be permitted to be on the ice until ALL requirements are meet. If a check is required we are happy to assist you just ask. For liability all volunteers MUST register with Funteam  before being permitted on the ice. If assistance is required again please ask

*All coaches on the ice are required to wear a helmet and skates, must have current Vulnerable Sector check (every 3 years).

TENTATIVE - Practices will start October 18, 2024. Games will start November 2, 2024. Pending ice availability.  

REGISTRATION OPENS September 2024 online only. 

You can pay fees by cash, cheque, online or e-transfer. When paying by e-transfer it can be sent to thorhildfunhockey@gmail.com please include the child's name, if payment is being done through the Fun Team website please note there is a transaction fee that will be added. Cheques can be written out to Thorhild Fun Hockey. Please note that the Registration fees must be paid in full prior to your child's first practice.
