FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!
Season start date: September 15th, 2024. Season end date: March 31, 2025.
Rocky Mountain House is happy to be back with Fun Team Alberta to kick off a recreational hockey team to enjoy the great sport of hockey in our community!
Our version of hockey focuses more on fun and skill development and less on competition. We will start off the first month with practices to help develop skill and to ensure our legs are ready and safe for some games against other hockey teams across central Alberta starting in October.
We will have a fun year end activity to wrap up the season.
Registration will be online only.
What to Bring
All hockey safety equipment is required. The goalie gear will be provided.
- A hockey helmet, (not expired) with face protection.
- A neck guard.
- Shoulder, elbow, knee, and hip pads.
- Hockey Skates.
- Jerseys and socks will be provided.
Fees
Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.
There will be a $300 registration fee. $10 for insurance. The remaining registration fees will be used to pay for the required ice times throughout the season, as well as for entry fees for any potential tournament entries. They are also used for referee payment, safety gear and the year end party. Leftover fees will be reimbursed to the registrants.
Other costs that may be incurred are fuel to games, and potential hotel rooms if staying overnight for tournaments.
