Description

FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!

Welcome! This is a non-competitive, FUN hockey team for children aged 4-14. The children are divided by age/skill on the ice (typically into two groups), and then able to practice appropriately. All skill levels are welcome, and our coaches are made up of parents - so if you'd like to join us on the ice and help coach, please let us know!

We practice Thursday nights from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the arena in Torrington. Full equipment is required for all participating children, including a neck guard (note: mouth guards are not required). 

If there is anything specific your child would like to work on, or see happening at our practices please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate! Feedback is always appreciated.

Fees

Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.

There is a $10 Registration fee, and a $120 Team Fee per child. If you would like to do drop in practices, each drop in is $10.

Volunteering

FunTeam volunteers are our most valuable resource. We can’t thank you enough for your commitment to our programming and bringing our model of sport to your community.

It would be great to have two main coaches who can help breakout the kids based on skill level and age. Each of the two coaches can then be responsible for one of the age groups, and lead their group's practice. 

In addition, any extra parents that would like to join and help these coaches in running drills, teaching new skills, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Helmets are required for coaches.
