Description
FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!
Season duration:
Approximately the first week of May through the third
week of June. The season starts once the soccer fields are dry.
Format:
For age groups U7 and older, practices and games will be Mondays and Wednesdays starting between 6 and 6:30. Some travel is required between towns in the area. U5 will practice once per week, either Mondays OR Wednesdays, depending on coach availability. Start time will be determined by coach.

According to birth year as follows:
- U5 – 2020/2021
- U7 and up – 2013-2019 – Teams will be balanced based on registrants.
Equipment:
- Shin guards and socks that cover guards are required for all players.
- Soccer cleats are also required for players in U7 and up.
Registration:
DEADLINE is Monday, April 21, 2025. Payment can be made
via etransfer to DayslandSoccerClub@gmail.com or by cash or
cheque before the first day of season.
Soccer wind-up party:
Tentatively Monday, June 16, 2025.
Communication:
Notices will be made on “Daysland Soccer Club” Facebook page (search “Daysland Soccer Club”) and directly from coaches.
What to Bring
Shin guards and socks that cover guards are required for all players. Soccer cleats are also required for players in U7 and up.
Fees
Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.

A $25 deposit is also required for each jersey, refunded upon return of jersey.

Volunteering
FunTeam volunteers are our most valuable resource. We can’t thank you enough for your commitment to our programming and bringing our model of sport to your community.
We rely on volunteer coaches. Volunteer coaches do not pay registration fees for any of their own children registered to play.
Alison and Emily are in their last year of organizers/president/treasurer. To keep the program going and to make transition easier, please start learning the ropes this year! All volunteers do not pay registration fees for their own children.
Volunteers 18 and over are required to complete a criminal record check every 3 years.
