FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!

Our program teaches youth how to play hockey but also we want the youth to have a life besides the arena. School and family life come first ! Yes we want them at practices to learn but did you know if you are lucky your kids will let you be part of 18 birthdays and 18 Christmas celebrations, or holidays before they are out on their own.  We don't practise on Stat holidays, we try not to play during Christmas break also. We don't reschedule extra practices because of holidays either.  We have 7 home games per season and depending on your coach or manager you will get about the same away games. This gives you weekends to go do other things with your kids also, some like skiing, or taking winter holidays, we don't want you spending every weekend in an arena.

Players need all equipment and practice jerseys. We do supply game jerseys for each of the kids for the season though. If you have equipment that your youth have grown out of and would like to pass it on to others feel free to post on the facebook page we have. Rimbey Falcons FunTeam Hockey.

We have codes of ethics that players, parents and coaches are to sign. They are on our facebook page or message me to get a copy. 

All fees are paid to Rimbey Falcons either by cheque or etransfer to rimbeyfalcons@gmail.com We can do payment plans for those that need it for sure just send me a message to set something up. We want all kids to be able to play so if you need help we can put you in contact with the local Kids in Sports program and they are wonderful to work with. 

Each team has one practice per week unless there is a holiday on the practise day, then it is cancelled.

We meet with the other towns the end of September to set up schedules so the coaches or managers usually have them ready within the first week or two of October.

This 2025/2026 season we might have a wind up supper at the end of the year 

We can't make teams until we have all kids registered so we know numbers.  We try not have big teams but it take a minimum of 15- 16 players  registered on a team just to cover ice costs for practises and games. That does not include ref fees.

We will be hosting 2 tournaments one for the junior team(s) and one for the intermediate team(s) as soon as dates are confirmed we will let you know. We ask that parents help out with the tournament jobs to make it a great event for everyone.
