FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!

Power Skating Strengthens Skating to increase agility and speed while improving hockey skills. For competitive skaters focus is placed on edge quality and control, body alignment and balance. A variety of stopping, starting, turning techniques and drills will challenge the skaters. Skaters will increase tempo during the exercises. The class will introduce more advance skating techniques. 

Skating Lessons teaches the foundation for skating and builds on skating skills as your child gains confidence on the ice.  

After Fall and Winter Sessions Thorhild Skating hosts a wind-up party.

What to Bring

Power Skating: CSA- approved helmet, skates, pants, shin pads, mittens, warm sweater or jacket. Some participants choose to wear full hockey gear. 

Skating Level 1/2 and Figure Skating: CSA- approved helmet, skates/ figure skates, pants, mittens, warm sweater or jacket.

Fees

Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.

$100 for Skating Level 1/2 (30min sessions) 

$125 for Power Skating (45min sessions) 

$150 for Figure Skating (1 hour session/ 1 day/ week)

$300 for Figure Skating (1 hour session/ 2 days/ week)
