Description
FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!
Welcome to Sangudo Fun Hockey! We are excited to welcome
you to our page and community. In keeping with Fun Team Alberta principles and
values, our focus is on FUN in hockey. We welcome players from 5-14 years old
with very little to lots of experience, as well as volunteers. We encourage our
players to come with a good attitude and to try their best to make it a great
season for themselves, teammates and coaches! We focus on developing individual
skills, as well as skills within teams.
There is 1 practice per week, usually Thursdays and 1 game
on Saturdays. Home games will be played in Sangudo and away games are usually
within an hour’s distance of Sangudo. Practices
will begin when our home ice at the Sangudo arena is in and ready to go, likely
mid October. Families will be contacted ahead of the first practice with scheduling
information for practices and games.
All registrations take place online. Registration covers
the seasons ice time and one tournament per team. Please note that registration
does not guarantee placement on the team you registered for, as final numbers
will determine team formations.
Volunteers are essential to keep things running smoothly,
and we are currently looking for coaches, assistant coaches, team managers.
We also need parents to take turns running the clock/
scorekeeping at each home game. We would love to get all of our families involved
this year!
Registration will be closing Oct 3rd with
updates on teams, practices and games following as they become available.
We look forward to another great season on the ice with new and returning Sangudo Cyclones!

Fees
Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.
The cost to play Sangudo Fun
Hockey this season is $225 per player. This includes:
- $215 to Sangudo Minor Sports which goes
towards ice fees
- $10 for an annual FunTeam Alberta
Membership
Payment can be etransferred to
sangudominorsports@gmail.com.
Please include player(s) first and last name in the memo. Alternatively, cash or cheques can be made out to Sangudo Minor sports and can be
dropped off at the Sangudo ATB branch during business hours.
If you require a payment plan, please reach out to sangudominorsports@gmail.com to make arrangements with the registrar.
Registration fees MUST be paid
before the first practice unless alternate arrangements have been made with
the registrar.

We're looking for helpers to
join our teams in roles like:

* coaches/ assistant coaches
must provide a copy of a Criminal Record Check with a completed Vulnerable
Sector Check (issued within the last 3 years) no later than the first scheduled
practice. A letter requesting a CRC will be provided to those who apply for
coaching positions.
Parents are asked to sign up
for shifts for the following during home games:
Timebox/Scorekeepers
Parent/ family volunteers are
also needed to fill various positions for any events hosted throughout the
season. Sign up sheets will be distributed ahead of any events.
