Description
FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!
Welcome to Stettler FunTeam Volleyball. We are a community group for children currently in Grades 4-9. This is our first year and we are excited to begin this journey of helping kids be active and learn to love the game of volleyball. We aim to be a low cost, less competitive group aimed at all skill levels. We currently do not travel but we desire to see kids learn the game. As we develop skills, we will play games within our sessions. We hope your child will grow in their knowledge of the sport, make new friends, grow in confidence and build on any current volleyball skills they have.
Season starts September 30 and will run till December 6.
Our regular practice day is Thursdays from 3-4 with an optional extra practice day on Tuesdays from 230-4.
Thrive360 is a wonderful location that has blessed us with this opportunity to rent their facility. They request that we try and remain quiet in the hallways. Parents are welcome to watch in the mezzanine during practices and younger siblings are able to be in the mezzanine where there is a child play area.
We can’t wait to see you all there!
What to Bring
Please bring along indoor shoes/runners, a water bottle (only water please), gym clothes (shorts/leggings and t-shirt)......and of course bring along a great attitude, ready to learn and have fun! Knee pads are encouraged but not nessisary.
Fees
Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.
Our fee is $40 per player, plus $10 for the FunTeam AB membership fee. If you want to participate in the optional practice time, it is an additional $40 per player.
