FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!
Fort Assiniboine Funteam Hockey in conjunction with FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourages any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community! Our goal is to create a positive experience for everyone involved.
AGM and Registration will take place online or in person on Thursday, September 25 @ 6;30pm.
Practices are twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays).
- Littles (Bullets 6-645pm)
- Middle Juniors (Pistols 645-745pm)
- Middle Seniors (Rangers 745-845pm)
Games with neighbouring towns will be arranged and a schedule will be shared in early November.
End of the year party will include parents versus kids games and a pizza supper.
Our program depends on community support. Volunteers are essential to keep things running smoothly, and we are currently looking for coaches, assistant coaches and team aids. If you’re able to help, we would love to have you involved!
What to Bring
Standard Hockey equipment required for all players is as follows:
- Hockey skates
- Hockey stick
- Padded hockey gloves
- Hockey helmet with cage
- Neck guard
- Shoulder pads
- Elbow pads
- Athletic Jock (boys) or Jill (girls)
- Hockey pants
- Shin guards
- Hockey socks
- Practice jersey
- Game Jerseys are provided and will be handed out by team manager at each game.
Some pre-loved equipment is available on a first come, first serve basis at the arena.
Fees
Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.
Season fees include all practices, tournaments, games and the end of season party.
Payment plans can be accommodated. Please ask!

Volunteering
FunTeam volunteers are our most valuable resource. We can’t thank you enough for your commitment to our programming and bringing our model of sport to your community.
Fort Assiniboine Funteam Hockey relies heavily on our fabulous community and its volunteers. We are seeking Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Team Aids for game jersey care, referee/scorekeeper recruitment, etc.
All volunteers will require a Criminal Record Check (CRC), unless they are minors. Thankfully, CRC cost is waived with supplemental letter from Funteam Alberta!
