FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!
HEFTA (Home Ed FunTeam Association), centered in Lacombe, Alberta was founded with the goal of creating a fun, active and supportive environment for kids that do alternative schooling to learn new sports, work together with a team, and enjoy some exercise.
Throughout the year, HEFTA plans on having different sport seasons depending on interest but likely Baseball for the spring, Soccer for the fall and Basketball for the winter. The commitment would be once a week practice/scrimmage with possibly a once or twice Saturday game or team party within the season.

HEFTA Baseball PLANNING MEETING
WHEN: April 22 1:30-2:30pm
WHERE: Kinsmen Ball Park 4401 Woodland Dr. Lacombe, Alberta T4L 1S3 (Note: at the baseball diamond by the Co-Op parking lot - weather permitting)
WHY: A meeting for parents and teens who are interested in volunteering for HEFTA's Baseball season as coaches, assistant coaches, or being on the Planning Team

HEFTA Baseball Season 2026
When: April 29-July 1, 2026 (times range depending on group between 1:30-3:30pm)
WHERE: Kinsmen Ball Park 4401 Woodland Dr. Lacombe, Alberta T4L 1S3
WHAT: To participate you need to register your child through FunTeam website and have a labeled glove and water bottle for your child plus a jack/jane cup for Junior and Senior groups. (NOTE: helmet use is required when batting. If you don't want your child using a shared helmet, please acquire an individual batting helmet, label it with your child's name and make note of this in your registration or email the HEFTA team directly: sarahnpaul2010@gmail.com)
What to Bring

Fees
Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.
T-Ball is a $10 team fee and a $10 FunTeam fee TOTAL: $20
Junior and Senior Baseball are $20 team fee and $10 FunTeam fee TOTAL: $30
All funds received by H.E.F.T.A. will be used towards buying any equipment needed, the end-of-season party and player & volunteer appreciation gifts.
