Description
FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!
Legal Fun Hockey is designed to be fun and inclusive- no previous hockey experience is required!
Each week we meet at the SVF Sports Center in Legal for two 1 hour sessions. The season lasts 16 weeks starting in November and running through until March.
The first session is from 8am-9am and is for kids ages 5-8/9 years old (depending on numbers and skill levels).
The second session is from 9am-10am for kids ages 9/10-17 years old (depending on numbers and skill levels).
Volunteer coaches will help players build confidence and enjoy the sport through skill development, drills, games, and a scrimmage each week with one or two games against other fun hockey teams scheduled each season.

Legal Fun Hockey has an inventory of used equipment that can be borrowed for the season.
Please reach out upon registry if there are items your child needs for the season.
On October 24, 2026 we will hold an Equipment Day distributing equipment to borrow from 9am - 11am held at the SVF Sports Center.
Fees
Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.
The Registration fee is $225 per child.

In the memo line or reference line of the etransfer please include your Childs name and Age.
Payments are due on or before November 7, 2026 or contact Legal Fun Hockey if you require further arrangements.

FunTeam volunteers are our most valuable resource. We can’t thank you enough for your commitment to our programming and bringing our model of sport to your community.
Parent volunteers are essential to running a smooth and successful program.
With more helpers on the ice, we can offer better supervision, smaller practice groups, and more individual support for players. Your involvement helps us create a safer, more fun, and more effective hockey experience for everyone.
