FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!

Welcome to Stettler Steelers FunTeam Hockey! We are excited to welcome you to our community. In keeping with Fun Team Alberta principles and values, our focus is on FUN in hockey. We welcome players from 7-19 years old with little to lots of experience! We encourage our players to have a love of team sports and enjoy working and playing with their peers. We focus on developing their individual skills, as well as their skills within their team. There is usually 1 practice a week and 1 game on Saturday. Practices and games typically are within a 1-2-hour drive of Stettler.
The cost for the Junior team is $300 + $15 for a practice jersey (not required). This amount includes the $10 registration with FUNTEAM Alberta
Cost for Intermediate team is $350 + $15 for a practice jersey (not required) . This amount includes the $10 registration with FUNTEAM Alberta
The cost for the Senior team is $400 + $15 for a practice jersey (not required). This amount includes the $10 registration with FUNTEAM Alberta
Practice Jersey's only available for registrations completed by September 15.
We welcome all volunteers who have completed a Vulnerable Sector check. Checks are required once every 3 years and must be provided to the Board one week prior to the first practice. Volunteer positions that we typically look to fill are coaches and team managers.

Fridays 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm: 7 - 11 Years Old

REGISTRATION IS OPEN September 1st. Online only.

*Team Snap invitations with season schedule and team details will be sent out in October
* Please pay by e-transfer to stettlerfunhockey@gmail.com and ensure that you state your pplayer'sname in the memo so payments can be properly allocated.
* Payments are Due prior to pplayers'first practice.
What to Bring
The following is required for all players:
- Hockey Bag
- Water Bottle
- Jock
- Shin guards
- Socks
- Practice jersey
- Skates
- Skate guards
- Hockey pants
- Neck guard
- Elbow pads
- Shoulder pads
- Gloves
- Helmet with full cage
- Stick
All coaches on the ice are required to wear a helmet and skates.
Fees
Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.

Our hockey program depends on volunteers to keep the season running. We are in urgent need of coaches and managers. Without coaches, we can't have teams.
We have a dedicated resource of a coach liasion who will assist our coaches with Practice Drills and Game Strategy as well as conflict resolution. You will have a Groups full support in making your coaching year a fun and enjoyable season.
Every volunteer makes a difference. More helping hands mean a smoother, more enjoyable season for our players and families.
If you can spare some time this season, please consider stepping up. Together, we can give our kids a great hockey experience.
