FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!
Welcome to Alix Fun Team Hockey!
We are a small group dedicated to keeping kids playing the wonderful sport of hockey in a semi-competitive super fun environment. It doesn't matter if you have had no experience or a lot of experience, if you want to play hockey, we are the team for you!
This year, we have three teams in the age ranges of:
- 7-10
- 11-14
- 15-18
We meet once a week to practice for an hour and have 2-3 games a month, depending on scheduling.
What to Bring
Everything that is required for a hockey player:
- Helmet (with full cage)
- Neck Guard
- Shoulder Pads
- Elbow Pads
- Jock (Jill) Strap
- Hockey Pants
- Shin Pads
- Hockey Socks
- Hockey Skates
- Hockey Stick
- A Positive Attitude
Fees
Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.
Our fees are $325/year.
$10 of this goes to Funteam Alberta to cover insurance fees, our organization is responsible to submit this, not you.
The remainder of the money goes to pay for ice rental, paying referees for game time and purchasing any communal equipment the teams may need.

Volunteering
FunTeam volunteers are our most valuable resource. We can’t thank you enough for your commitment to our programming and bringing our model of sport to your community.
We are always looking for people willing to help out! Whether it be as a coach on the ice with the kids or behind the scenes managing the group and making sure everything is in order. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Leah and she will help you find a position suited to your skill set.
