FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!
Welcome to Rich Valley Vikings Hockey Club, we are very excited to get ramped up for the season, it has been far too long. We have 3 teams
Little Vikings ( Ages 4-8 ) Practices Friday 5-6 pm
Middle Vikings ( Ages 9-12) Practices Friday 6-7 pm
Big Vikings ( Ages 13- 18) Practices Wed 540-640pm
We practice once a week. We have 2-3 games per month and are primarily played within an hour from our home arena in Rich Valley. There is also 1 or 2 tournaments included in your registration fee.
In Person Registration Nights
Sept 8th Onoway Heritage Center 5 to 8 pm
Sept 9th Rich Valley Arena 5 to 8 pm ( this will include an equipment sale / swap )
Volunteer commitment: You will be required to sell 2 raffle booklets per child registered. Booklets to be paid for upon pickup.
What to Bring
Standard Hockey equipment required for all players is as follows:
- Hockey Stick
- Padded hockey gloves
- helmet with cage (HECC certified and not expired)
- neck guard
- shoulder and chest pads
- Elbow pads
- Athletic Jock (boys) or Jill (girls)
- Hockey pants
- Shin guards
- hockey socks
- skates
- Practice jerseys are available for purchase Red or White ( $15 each ) please email rvhockeyclub@gmail.com to order
- Game Jerseys are provided and will be handed out by team manager at each game.
*If you require assistance for equipment fit or have questions please speak with one of the coaches.
Fees
Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.
Fees are $200 / child ( this includes your $10 Fun Team Membership as well as your $1 Arena Membership )
Volunteer commitment: Must sell 2 raffle booklets per child. Books must be bought by Oct 30th and returned no later than Dec 15th.
Fees can be emailed to rvhockeyclub@gmail.com - Please use the memo box and add your name, phone number as well as the first names of the child/ children you are registering.

Volunteering
FunTeam volunteers are our most valuable resource. We can’t thank you enough for your commitment to our programming and bringing our model of sport to your community.
We are looking for coaches, team managers and helpers on ice for each team- please email rvhockeyclub@gmail.com if interested.
Head coaches will get one childs fee waiver and not required to sell raffle tickets for one child.
Assistant coaches and team managers will not be required to sell raffle tickets for one child.
Our 1 mandatory parent meeting /AGM will be held on Sept 16th @ 1130 where new board members will be voted in.
Board member commitment. 3 meeting per season.
Team Photos will be held Sat Oct 16th between 11am - 2pm at the Rich Valley Arena you will get a time slot once you register.
