FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!

WELCOME to our 28th SEASON!

 

Drumheller FunTeam Club is looking forward to a season with hopefully less interruptions due to the Pandemic**. 

 

Drumheller FunTeam is a FUN, Low Cost, Family Oriented, Non-Contact, Less Competitive rec hockey program that promotes Skill Development, Sportsmanship, Respect, Team Play, Citizenship & Everyone Plays regardless of their skill level.

 

Practices & scrimmages are held Sunday afternoons & optional games are played Saturday.  Games are with other FunTeam groups located normally within an hour radius of Drumheller. 

 

To maintain low cost ($75 ice fees) each Family is required to partake in the Annual Drumheller FunTeam Gift Card Fundraiser & will receive their Fundraiser form on Registration Night.

 

** We will be adhering to any COVID-19 Protocols in place & will update you when these become available.

What to Bring

Players are required to wear full equipment which includes:

Personalized Water Bottle with Name & phone #

Clean FunTeam or RecTeam Jersey

Helmet with Mask

Neck Guard (preferred neck guard ... BIB Style)

Shoulder Pads

Elbow Pads

Hockey Gloves

Jockey or Jill Shorts

Hockey Pants

Shin Pads

Hockey Socks

Sharpened Skates

Hockey Stick

Fees

Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.

FEES are to be paid on Registration Night 

Cheques payable to "Drumheller FunTeam" or Cash or E-Transfer are acceptable

Fees:

FunTeam Alberta Membership( includes liability insurance) = $10/player

FunTeam/RecTeam Jersey = $15 each

Drumheller FunTeam Ice Fees = $75/player

Conditioning Clinic Fee - $10/day or $20/player- offered to Junior & Varsity ONLY..... OPTIONAL

Jersey Names & Numbers = $10/Name + $10/number(s)..... OPTIONAL

Post Dated (for Jan1, 2022) Cheque for Volunteer Fee) = $100/Family

**** Any Junior Players graduating to Varsity this season will need to wear a black jersey.****

Volunteering

FunTeam volunteers are our most valuable resource. We can’t thank you enough for your commitment to our programming and bringing our model of sport to your community.

Drumheller FunTeam cannot operate without the help of our Volunteers.   Each Family will be required to volunteer in one form or another.

 

Once the season starts we will have a better idea of dates & opportunities for Drumheller FunTeam to participate in events throughout the season & a Volunteer Commitment Form will be provided for each family to complete & submit.

 

In the meantime, each Family will provide a POST-DATED (January 1, 2022) Volunteer Cheque for $100 payable to “Drumheller FunTeam”  to be collected at September 8, Registration Night.  This cheque will be returned once your Family fulfills their Volunteer Commitment for the Season.

 

All Volunteers wishing to help with Coaching and money related duties are required to provide a current CRC (Criminal Record Check). Contact Nicky @ funteamdrumheller@gmail.com to obtain info on how to apply for such.
