FunTeam Alberta promotes family oriented, low cost, and less competitive sport to be enjoyed by participants of all skill levels. We are an inclusive organization that encourage any activity to be FUN for the participants, parents, coaches, volunteers and the rest of the community!
Linaria Fun Hockey is a family oriented, non-contact, non-competitive hockey team who plays locally and in surrounding communities. If you to join the fun, please fill out the registration form for the “Linaria Fun Hockey” team, here on the Fun Team Alberta site! Registration and payment will be due prior to our first practice.
For the 21/22 season, we have one 5-9 team in our group. If your child falls just outside of this age range, please feel free to reach out to Lynne Erickson at linariafunhockey@gmail.com. Our team practices Wednesdays at 5:00 – 6:00 pm at the Linaria arena from mid-November to mid-March. We play 2 Saturday morning games per month. Season fees for each player are $250.00 and are required to be paid before your first practice. These fees cover ice time and any other teams costs that arise. These fees can be paid via e-transfer to linariafunhockey@gmail.com. You may also pay by cheque, payable to “Linaria Fun Hockey”. Please contact Lynne Erickson by email or phone (780-238-8978) to arrange payment delivery.
COVID-19 Protocols are in effect and are different depending on different arenas we play in. On home ice - for practices, please come dressed in equipment to speed processes, and keep the number of parents in the change rooms to a minimum. Protocols will be communicated via email before our first practice, and any time there is a change to these throughout the season. COVID protocols for the arenas we are visiting will be sent by email shortly to the teams before our first game.

What to Bring
Please ensure each of your players has a full set of protective equipment, including practice socks and jersey, and a stick.
Please write your child's name on masking tape and stick to the front of their helmet.
Game Jerseys and socks will be provided.
Fees
Important: $10 of the listed registration fee covers your FunTeam membership which is required to join a FunTeam group. Please submit all of your fees to your Group Manager in a timely fashion as it is required to complete the registration process.
Fees will include the $10 Alberta Fun Team fee, as well as ice time fees, and game jerseys and socks.

Volunteering
FunTeam volunteers are our most valuable resource. We can’t thank you enough for your commitment to our programming and bringing our model of sport to your community.
Calling all Refs and Parent Volunteers - Please call Lynne Erickson if you are interested in assisting with tying skates, refereeing home games, or manning the score clock!
Parent Volunteers are the only thing that keeps the team and league alive!
So far we do have a coach for our team, but we are always looking for parent volunteers. Our team cannot exist without our volunteers! We only have 3 home games scheduled this season, but we would need the following for each home game:
